Dr. Dharun Kasilingam is an Assistant Professor of Marketing (Digital, Analytics, & Automation) and the Chairperson – Accreditations & Rankings at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. He holds a Master’s in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Marketing and Analytics, and was the youngest recipient of a Ph.D. from NIT Trichy, earning his doctorate at the age of 25.

Recognized among the Top 2% Scientists in the world (2025) by Elsevier and Stanford University, his research primarily focuses on the intersection of Technology and Consumer Behavior and Unstructured Data Analytics. He has published extensively in leading international journals, including the Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Brand Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, International Journal of Consumer Studies, Technology in Society, and Journal of Consumer Behavior, among others. His research has garnered over 2,200 global citations, with his papers in the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services and Technology in Society featuring among the most cited articles on the journals’ home pages.

As Chairperson of Accreditation and Ranking, he has successfully re-accredited IIM Kozhikode with AMBA and EQUIS for the maximum achievable 5-year term, leads the AACSB Initial Accreditation process, and strategically manages institutional performance across global ranking frameworks such as NIRF, FT, QS, and THE, driving the institute’s global visibility and continuous excellence.

He has also designed and directed Management Development Programmes (MDPs) in Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Digital Transformation, and General Management for leading organizations, including Publicis Groupe, The Advertising Club, Mankind Pharma, Defence Forces – India, Salesforce, ICICI, ONGC, Petronet, and the Department of Personnel and Training – Government of India.
