Prof. T. T. Sreekumar is a professor at the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, where he also serves as the Head of the Department of Communication. He has been associated with EFLU since January 2017. In addition to his professorship, he holds the position of Director (in-charge) of the Educational Multimedia Research Center (EMMRC) at EFLU, a role he has held since July 2019. His academic career includes previous appointments at MICA, Ahmedabad, the National University of Singapore (NUS), and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Sreekumar holds an M.Phil. in Applied Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi, and a Ph.D. in Science, Technology, and Society (STS) from HKUST. His research focuses on areas such as Asian modernity, development, e-governance, mobile ecology, and rural network societies, with a critical examination of the sociopolitical implications of information technology and new media. He is a prolific writer in both English and Malayalam, with published works including ICTs and Development in India: Perspectives on the Rural Network Society and several books in Malayalam on topics ranging from postmodernism to sociopolitical critiques. He has also served as the editor of the International Journal of Media Studies, published by EFLU.
